Here’s something kind of cool from Bernardo*: NewsBlogger allows you to combine news feeds from Moreover (a free news feed provider) with Blogger. Now you can filter news feeds via NewsBlogger and have them posted to your blog page. Too much work for me, but I know some bloggers with too much time on their hands will dig this.
* Bernardo’s Brazilian, and I have no idea what his Portugese-language blog is all about. I tried running it through Babelfish, but the output is cryptic in a funny way.
I love fun with machine translation. I took the first two paragraphs of this blog and ran it through several translations on BabelFish (English to French to English to German to English to Italian to English to Portugese to English to Spanish to English…whew). Here’s the results:

It’s amazing that “Too much work for me” came through unscathed, but look at the crazy phrase that follows it — “me the white man”!!! Holy crap! That creeped in during the German to English translation. The conjugated German verb for “to know” in a conjugated form is “weiß”, but somehow that got translated back into English as “white”. And after it went through Italian, it somehow picked up the “man”. Wild.
